Riders have now made it to the half way point of the 2024 MotoNomad Rally and a well-deserved rest day in the small provincial town of Arvaikheer. All the riders are checked into the surprisingly luxurious Bogd hotel, the only expected hotel stay during the event. The riders have taken this chance to get their gear wash and dried and to tuck into a wider range of foods, like pizza and pasta dishes! Arvaikheer is not a massive tourist draw card, but it does have an interesting museum that some of the riders today chose to visit, and many nods around the town to its heavy Soviet past. The riders will now head off on the second half of the trip down into the Gobi Desert before looping back up to Ulaanbaatar and the finish line, a challenging 1,000km offroad still to complete.
