The riders spent the today navigating their way along the diverging and crisscrossing tracks of the day 1 rally route, across the vast green sea off grasslands of the Mongolian steppe country. Unfortunately, towards the end of today, Adam from Australia our youngest and most inexperienced rider had an awkward tip-over twisting his leg. Our backup crew sprang into action, transporting Adam via 4WD to a local hospital that luckily wasn’t too far away. His diagnosis, a fractured fibula, and unfortunately this is the end of his Mongolian adventure on the very first day! He’s fortunately in not much pain and in good spirits and will be back in UB shortly. Please ride steady, and be safe out there riders!
